... stainable is to come together and bring all the clothing we no longer want. It is like going to a store, picking out new items, but no payment needed. We started with a meal on the patio and had lots of fun picking out a new wardrobe. So much better for the budget and for the environment. Did you know that on average, each person in the US throws 80 lbs of clothing away. Giving to the thrift stores is not a great solution either. Clothing can still end up in the trash. Or it might get send as donations to other countries and I have read that for example in some African Countries, the flood of cheap clothing coming in is destroying their textile industries.
